edwardf_alonso 5pts Long over past due to get rid of the slow sale of the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot and Jeep needs a FULL or mini SUT in the line up also!
Corey McConnaughy 5pts I wish I had the time and money to even go check out the Geneva Motor Show, but I'm currently busy with my school musical of Little Shop of Horrors.
Todd Turner 5pts This isn't replacing the Patriot and Compass which btw were on a Lancer platform, its way to small for most American tastes. It is to have a product in the Hot B segment market in the EU and Asia. India FEA group of Jeep now part of FCA was heavily involved in the chassis development and design from NA to make sure it is a Jeep. Patriot and Compass is going need to be bigger. I expect modest sales in the USA for the B.
blaznmonkeyboy 5pts can't wait to take it to moab or maybe the rubicon trail. Ok Ok maybe over a curb or rather large speed bump. Jeep is officially Cheep!
James Ballard 13 5pts Fiat keeps thinking they can use Jeep heritage on car platforms to increase shareholder value! This only shows Fiats strive for money (mostly home market) than true understanding between the N.American market and that of Europe.
PatRickCO 5pts Wasn't sure how long it would take Fiat to kill jeep but looks like it could be sooner rather then later. The "Cherokee" is a Dodge Dart crossover now the jeepster is going to be even less jeep like. Why mess with the only brand of theirs that had a overall positive reputation. These two would be just fine as a Chrysler 100X and 200X or Dodge whatever. Slapping a front end that mildly resembles a jeep does not make it a jeep. It if does not have 4 wheel low and relatively easy to put a lift kit on it is not a jeep.
Greg Smith59 5pts Funny thing is that the Patriot/ Compass tandem sales figures are 10,000 vehicles a month. Why is Jeep needing to do anything with that kind of performance. Leave those nameplates alone.
ElusiveLTZ 5pts I keep hearing ''this is only a test mule'' All I gotta say is I sure hope so.. because this thing is ugly... and Jeepster? Really? You could not come up with anything better?
TheWeatherWarrior 5pts @Sunday RefugeeOutside hasn't been revealed yet. This is a test mule. Read the words, don't just look at the pictures.
James Ballard 13 5pts @TheWeatherWarrior @Sunday Refugee It seems apparent that u prefer former status of Jeep (ur icon) than what Jeep was as opposed to the abomination it has become.

moparmaniac34 5pts It's too bad it won't look anything like the concept they produced in the late 90's that bore the same name. It was pretty bad ass, this one looks like its gonna be the complete opposite of badass.
dfschim 5pts If you want to think of this subcompact as the Patriot replacement you can, but there is supposed to be a compact replacement for the Compass coming later. The new midsized Cherokee is 4000 lbs. This Jeepster will be under 3000 lbs. There is plenty of room for a 3200 lb Compass replacement/Forester competitor in Jeep's lineup.
dfschim 5pts Folks that is a mule based on the 500L. The Jeepster won't look any more like that than the new Cherokee looks like the raised Alfa Giulietta mules that were running around.
92Vectra1.6i 5pts @dfschim Too bad for the Cherokee because anything would be an improvement over the current monitor lizard resembling beast.
czydimond 5pts @Jeff McKaymaybe you should do some research. It is an iconic name from Jeep's history.
francyfimiani 5pts @Jeff McKay Dodge Dodgester, Chrysler Christer, Fiat Fiatster, Alfa Alfster. Now i just gave you 4 worse names
Monsterized 5pts No, Mr. Marchionne, it won't work. Patriot and Compass were used to eat mug and rocks, and I don't think a small-family-500L-"based" Jeepster can even touch a bunch of sand with those fragile tires. -Mönst-
92Vectra1.6i 5pts @Monsterized While there was indeed a "trail rated" Patriot with at least some off road capability, a Compass (even an AWD one) driven off road is a dangerous proposition unless the owner has membership in a motor club with available off road recovery.
rickyac 5pts I really hope jeep styles this Jeepster far from the FIAT. The FIAT is an absolute eyesore.
casey 5pts I was fine with most of it, but there is the smallish issue of the Jeepester having "more than a passing glance" resemblance to the fiat, no jeep should look anything like any fiat, period! (yes I know I denoted that with an exclamation point)
TheWeatherWarrior 5pts @caseyOutside hasn't been revealed yet. This is a test mule. Read the words, don't just look at the pictures.
PusCdozer 5pts -Jeepster? How about Willys? That is the model that made the company after all. -Jeep should do some fuel efficient models. Small, nimble yet still off road champs. AWD could help with both. -Jeep has untapped potential. Though Chrysler has been the slowest to wake up after the 2009 bailout.
lasvegascolonel 5pts Jeepster is a classic Jeep name, unlike Patriot or Compass. Tradition is important for the iconic SUV.
TheWeatherWarrior 5pts @92Vectra1.6i@lasvegascolonelCherokee 2014 is no different than the departure from SJ (70s Cherokee) to the XJ (80s/90s Cherokee).
92Vectra1.6i 5pts @TheWeatherWarrior@92Vectra1.6i@lasvegascolonel Oh yes it is because the SJ and Xj are both off road capable SUV's whereas Jeep has to stop the film of an airborne tire on a new Cherokee before it lands (care to guess why?)....
92Vectra1.6i 5pts Not offering a diesel will be a big mistake, since a proper displacement (1.5-2.0 liter) 4 cylinder turbo-diesel could help the Jeepster clear the 40 mpg highway hurdle, territory currently unoccupied in the Barbie Jeep (apologies to Mattel and Jeep) segment.
