Being truck-based, the Escalade is not a global vehicle, geared instead to North America and a few select markets. Under development is a similar-sized car-based crossover, a global three-row family vehicle that would play well in China.
The new full-size crossover would be positioned above the XT5 and would be called either XT6 or XT7. De Nysschen would not confirm which. It would use the same platform as the XT5. It could be ready in the next two years.
It could be the next vehicle to get the Super Cruise driver-assist technology that debuted on the CT6 and will migrate to other vehicles. Super Cruise will also be available on the XT4 but not for several years.
